Find a Need, Fill a Need Taking the stress out of making gingerbread. I have constructed a Jingerbread Jig, so there is a guaranteed 6mm depth to every biscuit and they all cook evenly. The two strips at the sides are 6mm depth, connected at the top to a spacer that keeps them together but is held by loose screws so they can swing whatever width you like. The rolling pin rolls along them over the dough until that dough is a regulated 6mm thick, and then you cut the biscuits. For the temporary satisfaction of the bottomless gingerbready appetite of this house. I have perfected the recipe so its almost unbearably good, please do contact me if you’d like it.

Speaking of sweet things, how big is Rolly’s new bed! First time I’ve visited him since he had a tumor removed from his hip. His family are so happy that he will be with them longer that they couldnt get a bed big enough

A garment fabric pairing I’m liking. Both fabrics from mightymighty Spotlight. Lark Tee and Fremantle pants, I iron things when I sew them then never again.

Setting up for the vid. This is another study for a larger work. These are often way better than their subjects

This feels like a memory I think I have, where the air is a floating thing and there’s something sifting through it, like a blessing or a certainty that things will go on and that its special, to be here just now, right now, but back then too

Confess

I obsessed about this jacket

Oversize quilted jacket from Frankie Shop. Spent hours cruising fabric sites for quilted parka style fabric and scouting pattern designs. HOURS. And more.

I respectfully acknowledge the Guringay people, the traditional custodians of the land that is now called Ku-ring-gai, and pay my respects to elders past, present, and those to come. I extend my respect to elders and members of the Darug nation, and to all Indigenous people who may be reading these words

Fellow travellers, thank you for visiting
