Artworking; Feb-March 2025

Rosie, artworker March 30, 2025

You know its gonna be a good day when you see Penny at the cafe

Tbh I have mostly been buried in making this artwork for the last few months.

But then I go through my files and find that I clearly had time for quite a few other things…

Cecilie Bahnsen

My love for mini panniers is undiminished, they are cool like Penny. I have yet to sew some but I want to

Some jewellery research made me think of my art-sequins

Gilded textured card

Bode beaded cardigan

Dont remember where when what this is but I love it but yesterday’s corpse?

Blackbird Spyplane

I am encouraging everyone to wear their brooches thusly, center front

Thusly

Plasti-coating some aluminum wire for another thing

OMG!

This happened but cant say yet but omg…

Will never, ever tire of this activity

Moments like this. Early morning in the studio with the lights off, checking on it before coffee, see how it’s changed

Friends from London became Australian citizens so we took them out to the country and put them in a jail as built and made them eat Anzac biscuits with beer bc thats what real Australians do.

This treasure box for my wares at The Merchant’s Warehouse

Beautiful as always gotta say, had an excellent day of trade at the Coal Loader artisans market

This is what it looks like before going to market

Brutal

Actively challenging myself to use more colour

I can do colour

SEE

COLOUR

Colour? Surgically attached to my altered Barry Pants

I bought it because this Hungarian Australian household saw no other option. My in-laws had one of these, I think every Hungarian household would keep some Herend and they had a lot.

It feels nice to have this guy & remember them.

NEW FRIEND! I met Nula at the Coal Loader market early morning, then later on she missed me and came to visit moi’s stall where her mum purchased one of my most beautiful bracelets

Kirribilli

We met up with some other friends from London during their brief visit, so deeply good to see them

By the harbour because Sydney

And at Doyles at Watsons Bay because Sydney

Restocked at Gordon Emporium! Go geddem

New thing to do at night

C-drama! But my heart will always belong to K-drama, gam-sa-ham-ni-da

Britannia Restaurant, Cunard Queen Elizabeth

Thats it, friends, until next time I wish you happiness! Thank you for watching!

Come back & see what happens to all the things

I respectfully acknowledge the Guringay people, the traditional custodians of the land that is now called Ku-ring-gai, and pay my respects to elders past, present, and those to come. I extend my respect to elders and members of the Darug nation, and to all Indigenous people who may be reading these words

Fellow travellers, thank you for visiting
