Most excellent video of the making process...of a new rendition of the previous

The title has become: The Book of Sorrows; Venus and the Ghost Who Walks (The Three Wise Monkeys) and its become something about keeping hold of your losses, enshrining the griefs and tending to the sad stories, like we can dwell in the self pity & even cultivate it, make it comfy, openly display it at all times. Pain is pain and loss hurts and holding onto that is a way of needing someone to somehow be held accountable. If no one knows, how can the hurt be known? What happens to the sad and terrible things? They need to be kept alive, just so you know they’re over. You can look upon them & box them up at a remove. Take control. I have measured and accommodated accordingly.

This is the thing about trauma: it fucks with you and theres no real expiry date. So you need to keep it close, and you need to visit it and read the book of it to others because then you are not alone.

Decisioning, making the decisions, where it goes, nobody knows. Until I do. A four panel wall mounted relief sculpture: The Book Of Sorrows; Venus and the Ghost Who Walks (The Three Wise Monkeys) Resin, gold leaf, gold plated stainless steel, freshwater pearls, natural bamboo, loads of materials. This piece has been making itself for three years, there is no guarantee that this is it's final rendition but I think it is. This video is progress documentation, when finished the frame will be black Japan with gold ornaments and a continuous painted landscape will background the sculpture. Probably.

The yoo toob in case the first vid wont play.

This video shows something of what AI is calling ‘creative process’, and this is what it has to say:

The artistic creative process is a mysterious and elusive phenomenon that has fascinated artists and the general public alike for centuries. It involves a complex and often chaotic interplay between the artist's imagination, technical skills, and emotional states. Though it varies from artist to artist, the process typically involves a series of stages, including brainstorming, sketching, refining, and revising. It is a deeply personal and often solitary pursuit, requiring a deep level of focus and concentration. The creative process is not always linear, and artists may jump back and forth between stages as their ideas evolve. Despite the challenges, the creative impulse remains a vital part of human expression, continually pushing the boundaries of what is possible through the power of imagination.

Its uncannily correct, which is so…true. Reassuring. Someone understands. AI. Weird.
