Dream it

〰️

Dream it 〰️ Dream it 〰️

All jewellery is available at Sous le Soleil and The Emporium, with another retailer coming soon! All enquiries welcome

Laser cut rose gold mirror acrylic palm tree styling

Display it

Display it 〰️ Display it 〰️

Ring display with leveraged slice of laser cut acrylic. My idea entirely & arguably the cleverest idea I’ve ever thought of, naming our dog “Puppy” included

I’ve been working on a really sharp display for my goods for ages, lots of thinking and lots of hours of trying out & making, and I think its come out well now. This display will go to the beautiful Sous le Soleil and I have another retailer on my wishlist, for whom I am thinking might be more brocade-y style arrangement as below

I bought this beautiful linen brocade/jacquard in Lille, France. There’s only a half meter or so of it & I must be careful in deploying it. But it seems to work with every piece I lay upon it, it goes with everything. Wish I had more, story of my life. And key indicator of my compulsion to always make more than one thing; make more, make lots of upholstered display plinths because you never know when you’ll need another one. Forarmed is forsawed.

Make it

Immensely

pleased with how this turned out.

Wool felt topping from My Felt Lady, future tense worth it, its plusher than the shit from Spotlight with loads and loads of strong colours available. I love the duck egg ‘Tiffany’ style blue on the first one and this rich purple. It works with the amber & gold so beautifully & the dark walnut wood stain is so classy

See the tiny hole drilled at top right of plinth. A mirror acrylic palm tree opportunity.

Shockingly neat

I make it a rule to never miss a mirror acrylic palm tree opportunity

Remember these?

Remember these balsa wood carvings I made 100 years ago in 2013? I dug out the silicone molds I made back then & poured some in resin embedded with lead sinkers & they make cute minimalist sculpture jewellery stand bases now

Same for these squarish bits of concrete rubble, I squareised them a bit more & did the same resin & lead sinker trick. These are matt & brutalist against the satin/gloss of the streamlined sculptural bases.

With the black metal bits harvested from here.

I cant get enough of this necklace, its so spangle-y, pointy and glamourous. I’m getting such a DVF vibe from all the star based pieces. The bracelet looks killa on, and may be a little uncomfortable (duh, it’s all sharp bits), but it is FASHION. My goodness, I love it all. I’m also a coward, I have run for cover with this soothingly shiny stuff when my art work got a little too close to my edge. It remains to be seen if I pick it up again, or when.

Rest it

〰️

Rest it 〰️ Rest it 〰️

MORE TO COME. But thats enough for now. The display is good.
