The light was just right that evening
Sewing the crown of the Sulis Hat, I changed from white to black thread as I went but the white basting stitched showed through (you can kind of see it in big image above these two; the tolerance of error is zero when matching stripes & opposing colours. In the cause of making simple things hard, I excel). This fabric - an outdoor rated poly - was fraying terribly so rather than unpick I took to it with a black Sharpie. Two images above: all fixed!
