Kevin earrings! Blue and green coloured cameos
In cahoots with Vanessa Stockard, I present the Kevin gear! Yes, the Kevin phenomenon reached the factories of China to find itself back home in Sydney, in the form of “fucking hilarious”* earrings

Enamel charm, cast resin Mona Lisa cameo, pearl bead & 14mm gold plated hoop. All the bits are removable & interchangeable, you can slide the Kevin off & just wear the cameo, or just wear the Kevin charm, or just the hoops themselves. Kevin encourages decorative diversity.
No idea what the Kevin? Well, painter Vanessa Stockard is one of our best, a finalist in the Archibald painting prize three years running and she'll never slow down. Her 'Kevin The Kitten' character has captured the imagination of large parts of the internet with his big freak-out eyes and Elizabethan ruffle. He is found in all manner of ornate chair situations & frequently bombs the old master’s paintings, somehow conveying eerily familiar comfortable/uncomfortable positions, emotions & belly laughs, all rendered in a loose but acute painterly technique honed from 20+years of practice. This project came about when the factories in China began noticing Kevin & manufactured this enamel charm for jewellery makers, and then I noticed them, then I had this idea to combine it with a Mona Lisa cameo (because we're artists) for earrings, and then Vanessa gave her blessing and here we are with the best thing ever! The idea is that the Kevin peeks around behind the art bit, just as he bombs sacrosanct old master's oil paintings in Vanessa's truly original works. Please see her Instagram page @vanessastockard and the #kevin tag for more advice. Vanessa and I think its fucking hilarious. In her words: "I often try to soften the pathos and sadness I see in the world by adding some comic relief to my paintings. Otherwise I feel we’d all fall in a hole. Hopefully that way you get the beautiful with a joke on top". This way we get the earrings too!
Thank you Vanessa for working with me, it has been, and will continue to be, fucking hilarious
