Artifacts: my assemblages/relief sculptures.
These are things that get made whilst I'm formulating a grand plan. I'm always looking for a master plan. Usually small in scale, these are things I've put together from the many and disparate pieces made along the road to making something else and that then have assembled themselves in a formation that pleases me and resonates with some kind of internal satisfaction.
Media: MDF fibreboard, vinyl lace, artist's acrylic paint, metal leaf, shellac lacquer. This piece is for table top display or as a wall mounted 25mm relief sculpture.
Additional info: I include studio progress photos in this piece's gallery as it often happens that the best work is done before I 'finish' a piece and to give an indication of how the work has developed, sometimes over months or years.
