Back bone of the master plan
This doesn’t happen often. Neatness.
Buying canvas by the meter, the first few off a new roll can be faulted AS I NOW KNOW
Identifying structural & design issues during the testing of the Vali top for Nita-Jane; the ‘Vali’ title is in honour of Vali Myers, who lived nearby Nita’s childhood home & who’s subversion of suburbia is a lesson to us all
A secondary industry has blossomed in the Household; restoring and peddling vintage sewing machines and he’s making a profit too which is the more surprising thing. Real groovy branding on this 1950’s Elna. I now have even more respect for these machines, the tooling and machining of the parts, the exacting tolerances required and the mind blowing complexity of these workaday implements is mind blowing. No minds over here, they’ve all been blown by sewing machines. Blown, I tell you
Like these boobie patches on the inside of vintage Givenchy dress. So interesting seeing the guts of haute couture garments, this one from Shrimpton Couture
Still mental for my ornaments. I wrote about them here & declared that I have found meaning and purpose in this shape and lo it is evidenced
Thrillingly shiny tote bag from UNIQLO x Ines de la Fressange here. Chain from an LV purse
The making of this element in an artwork comprised of many, is going to take some time. See you in March.
