Artworking; May/June 2019

I forgot about May and its June now

The Westin hotel Sydney. At one time I was here every other week as art consultant & it was great work

Ive been doing some sewing

So Ive been fabric stalking. I’d like some tweedy plaid pants

So I bought these. A bit excited about the stripey velvet

Ive spent quite a bit of time on plans for mending my wallet. I’m going to embroider it. Theres quite a lot of repair to do, with extensive darning required on the edges so I may as well go large

Its an expensive thing to replace & Ive got nothing to lose in having a go. Mend not buy is planetary goodness.

I bought this on Bond Street, London & they were so nice, they emblazoned it with one’s initials

I think the white looks nicest but will look rattier soonest & grubby isn’t cool. So I think i’ll do the turmeric yellow/orange which is more in keeping with LV’s leatherwear aesthetic

Schools in Australia. Such big sky

Utilitarian waiting room. Something friendy about the kettle.

Back at the Westin. The Juan Ford painting in the cafe lounge was commissioned by Graphis Art. That this fitout hasnt been remodelled since it first opened in 2010, when most hospitality spaces have a lifespan of 5 years is high praise for all involved
